Harvy2-Update: IoT Sensor now with remote configuration & new features!

Good news for all Harvy2 fans: The deZem team has released the long-awaited firmware update v1.4.0 for the Harvy2 IoT sensor. This milestone makes the smart LoRaWAN power sensor even more flexible, powerful, and user-friendly.

The new release enables complete remote configurability via downlinks. Any configuration adjustments can be conveniently managed directly through your individual IoT platform.

Continuous development and hardware highlights:

But that's far from all: over the past few months, we've implemented many new features and consistently developed the hardware further. In addition to continuous range and connectivity optimisations for LoRaWAN (also beyond the European EU868 band), we've also introduced a new Harvy2 product variant with an external antenna.

All new Harvy2 features at a glance

Optimised Oscilloscope Mode:

Perfect for three-phase current measurements! A new filter displays the current and voltage waveforms of the configured phase with just a single click. Phase assignments as well as capacitive or inductive shifts can thus be checked directly on a smartphone in the field.

Remote configuration via downlinks:

The downlink generator allows the appropriate configuration amendment to be made and transmitted via the IoT platform in use. This new function ensures enormous time and cost savings – the laborious visit of a technician on-site is eliminated. The configuration of the Harvy2 can be carried out entirely remotely.

Greater range with an external antenna:

For challenging installation environments in spacious areas or basements with solid concrete ceilings, the Harvy2 variant with an external antenna connection is now available. This option is available for both the standard variant with a split-core current transformer and the Harvy2 Rogowski Edition.

Improved USB-C Configuration Pages:

The user interface now guides you even more securely through the settings and reminds you, for example, of pending save commands.

Offline-capable configuration:

The configuration pages will soon be released as a Progressive Web App (PWA). This will allow you to carry out all configuration and firmware updates completely offline in the future – even in the deepest basement without an internet connection.
