deZem set course for expansion with RYSE
deZem GmbH is looking to grow and is embarking on an expansion course with RYSE and a new management team. The previous owner, Georg Riegel, is selling his shares and establishing a nature reserve in Chile, but will continue to support the deZem team as a long-term advisor.
Over the coming years, deZem plan to systematically scale up their IoT data platform and energy management service portfolio, bringing on board a wealth of new clients. Nothing will change for our existing customers, and all offered services and products will remain unchanged in their familiar quality.
The new investor RYSE, led by the experienced investors and entrepreneurs Martin Vieider and Max-Otto Griesam, brings a comprehensive network and experience in the fields of energy management, scaling and internationalisation. Together with the management team, RYSE plans to further develop deZem into the leading energy management platform, harness the opportunities of AI in data collection and evaluation, accelerate geographical expansion and strengthen the company's sales competencies.
The new deZem management team
Marc Schiekofer will steer the expansion course as the new deZem CEO. He brings comprehensive expertise in building and scaling technology companies and has previously successfully helped build an ESG software company. Alongside him, Dennis Engberding as COO and Torben Förster as CTO are being appointed as managing directors from the existing management team. The new team will lead deZem with the usual passion and continue to guarantee the highest quality standards for products and services for our customers. For innovative product development relating to the Harvy current sensor, Georg Riegel will also be available to the company as a consultant in the future.

From tech visionary to wildlife protector
We would like to give special thanks to Georg Riegel for working consistently and with a clear vision since 2003 to make our products the best tools for successful energy management. All customers who use our DataSuite and our hardware components save energy, costs and valuable resources – or achieve other types of optimisation in their technical processes. Georg will also continue to do this in Chile with his new company there as a partner of deZem, working on what will presumably soon be the best-monitored nature reserve in the world. He is certain that IoT can significantly enhance nature conservation by ensuring ideal habitats for threatened species, detecting and pushing back invasive non-native species and generating public interest. Thus, in the future he will remain true to the deZem principle: SENSE, CHECK, ACT!
